Overview

Center for Governance is one of the four centers established in 2015 at Atal Bihari Institute of Good Governance and Policy Analysis. The center is manned by a principal advisor, one advisor and two deputy advisors. The center strives to become India’s leading public policy think tank by undertaking basic research and conducting studies on issues of governance related to different stakeholders in the country and MP in particular. Center for Governance supports policy analysis related to different fields. Review of manuals, regulations, redundancies in acts etc. includes other important activities being undertaken by the centre. Centre collaborates with International and national agencies with a view to plan and develop initiatives to improve overall delivery of governance across sectors.

The center is in the process of bringing out important publications on issues like rule of law, corruption, accountability etc. The center is also looking into delivery of services, review of manuals etc. and is in the process of bringing out journal on ‘Good Governance and Policy Analysis’. Centre engages fellows, consultants, subject matter specialists and research associates for works related to it. The center takes up projects from its own funds as well as project supported by different agencies.
